Verdict

Digital can follow up his splendid effort of six days ago, with Kareeb, Binanti and Master Robbie all adding to a competitive handicap. Digital was one of Mick Channon's four winners last Saturday, when scoring from out of the handicap at Goodwood. Although a stone higher than when gaining his last success at Newbury, he will line up in fine fettle and may earn a place in Ascot's valuable Tote Trifecta Handicap if successful. Kareeb was gaining his first win since 2000 when scoring at York in July, and then defied a rise to beat Master Robbie at Newmarket. On slightly worse terms, the other Channon runner should not turn the tables, but that was his best effort for some time, and it was no surprise when Master Robbie finally returned to winning ways at Ayr three weeks ago. He was allowed to dictate matters at the Scottish track though and will not have things all his own way now. Binanti made the most of a favourable mark when winning at Sandown the time before last, having earlier run well in the Britannia at Ascot. A rise back up the weights will make things tough for him again, and we return to Digital as the answer.
