A tricky opener can go to Shustraya who can make experience count over well thought of newcomers Dragon Flower, Armillary and Mystery River. Although the market will no doubt be a big indicator as to the the respective chances of the debutantes here, there is no substitute for a previous appearance on the track, and so Shustraya is selected to step up on her fourth behind Suki Bear at Windsor recently. The cheaply bought daughter of Dansili ran green that day so there has to be more to come, and although holding no fancy entries, she can pay to follow on this occasion at least. Dragon Flower's dam is related to a Dewhurst winner and is a half-sister to the stable's useful Royal Applause, so she will be expected to pay her way as well, while Armillary has a pedigree that suggests that she will be quite precocious. Mystery River is one of two Brian Meehan challengers and has the assistance of Jamie Spencer, back from his African travels. In an interesting contest it is Shustraya that is the pick.
