Verdict

Satwa Laird's last three wins have all been over 7f on the Polytrack, including last Monday's win at Wolverhampton, and he carries a penalty for that success today. A chance is taken on OSGOOD despite his inconsistency as this looks less competitive than the race he won at Newmarket in June. Matavia Bay scored at Nottingham in the same month but could only manage third off today's mark at this track last time while it was soft ground when Cane Cat popped up at Leicester earlier. Effigy could make the frame on his best form though he's been below par so far this year.
