Verdict

Bishops Court and Repertory have 21 years between them and have held their form well over the course of time but may have to settle for a minor role here behind Little Edward, who has the advantage of having raced already this term. The selection lost no caste in defeat behind No Time on the Polytrack at Lingfield last month on his reappearance and should come on for the spin. Well treated on the pick of last season's turf form, he looks worth a bet in another tough handicap. Andrew Balding's Dubaian Gift looks to be plenty high enough in the weights on his return and of more interest may be Mick Channon's Pic Up Sticks who has been kept busy having already raced three times this term. Rod Millman's Fromsong has claims on a strict interpretation of his last time out running behind Bahamian Pirate at Nottingham but he may have been flattered by his proximity top the winner that day and is likely to find this harder, especially as the handicapper has seen fit to raise him a further 5lbs for that. Bishops Court has claims if fit enough but for the selection we side with Little Edward.
