Verdict

Ohio Gold didn't get the best of runs behind Kid Cassidy here last month and should have finished closer. Court By Surprise turned a Hereford novices' event into a procession and will make a bold bid to defy a penalty while winning bumper Cucumber Run is just the type his yard excels with and he looks another nice recruit. Lexicon Lad has run well enough in two Aintree bumpers to suggest he can do well over timber but a chance is taken on OUR COLUMBUS, who showed little in three starts between the flags but looked as though there was a race in him when a staying on runner-up to Silver Footnote at Uttoxeter last month.
