In depth

Verdict

Songkran has been superbly placed to complete a four-timer but has been raised a further 6lb and has never raced over a trip this far before. Simon Walker has few equals in this sphere and takes the ride on C’EST NO MOUR. The seven-year-old has an excellent record in races of this type having twice won the Amateur Derby at Epsom. He made a winning start for Simon Hodgson at Salisbury before his latest third at Windsor. Sula Island made a winning reappearance at Chepstow and Long Call and Gas Monkey are also likely to attract market support in a competitive finale.
