Verdict

A big field for this year's renewal but that shouldn't bother HERE COMES WHEN, who beat 12 others including Cable Bay and last year's winner Breton Rock to win a Group 2 in soft ground at Newmarket last year. He's been competing in Group 1 races without success this season but wasn't disgraced in the Sussex Stakes at Goodwood last time and this is easier. Safety Check is penalised for his Group 2 wins at Meydan earlier this year but can still figure while Home Of The Brave beat older horses in a Group 3 at the Curragh last month and has decent claims. Limato was beaten by Adaay over 6f at Haydock earlier and Paul Hanagan sticks with the latter rather than Group 3 winner Markaz and Richard Pankhurst is interesting on his first start since winning last year's Chesham at Ascot having subsequently joined Godolphin.
