In depth

Verdict

VALENCHA is progressing well and she can make a winning handicap debut. Hugh Morrison's filly has a solid level of maiden form to her name and she was rewarded for her consistency when getting off the mark narrowly at Salisbury last time. A mark of 73 looks fair enough and she is taken to carry on her improvement. Pin Cushion is ponied down to the start but she was lacklustre recently and looks opposable, Desert Poppy is in grand form and this dependable filly still looks handicapped to strike, Key Light has been unlucky to bump into the progressive Caledonia Princess of late, whilst Flouncing is edging up the weights but this more conventional track will suit than at Epsom. With a two from three recent record Slip Sliding Away rates a much bigger threat under his 6lb higher mark than the frustrating Chinese Democracy.
