In depth

Verdict

Alexanderthegreat is upped in class under a penalty and sports first-time headgear after winning over 1m4f on the all-weather last week. Further improvement will be needed in this while Golden Image scored at Salisbury before finishing runner-up back at the same track with Cheeky Rascal in close attendance. Konigin should be noted for the Cumani yard stepping up in trip for her handicap debut but TREVENA (NAP) made a winning start in handicaps over 1m2f at Yarmouth. A late surge in the final furlong also gave the impression this extra distance will suit and Ed Walker’s filly gets the vote with more to come from her.
