Bormo is bound to have plenty of backers and Alan King's gelding would not be winning out of turn having been placed in each of his last four starts but he finished very tired at Plumpton last month behind Tanks For That and may have to settle for minor honours again with preference for WHEELS UP, who gets the vote ahead of Flemish Invader. The last mentioned is trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies and has been running consistently well in recent starts having not been beaten far by Sharajan at Ffos Las last month on his most recent start. He is now 2lbs lower in the weights than on that occasion and has solid place claims at least. Andrew Turnell's Lordsbridge was staying on well and still there with every chance when unseating his rider two out at Sandown last time and, off a 2lb lower mark today, he has to be considered and makes more appeal than Mister Wiseman. Nigel Hawke's gelding has been well held in his last two starts and is hard to recommend in a race taken to go to Wheels Up. Like Bormo, the selection has had a tendency to find at least one too good but he has shown improved form of late and can defy the 3lb rise for his latest effort when chasing home Fighting Chance at Leicester.
