Verdict

Boite, Saint Charles and Rathealy are all returning from a lay-off but are from stables perfectly capable of getting one ready at home – the market should prove the best guide. The latter is trained by David Pipe, who also saddles Gabrial The Great. Gala Ball is on a hat-trick after back-to-back wins at Wincanton and Wells De Lune bolted up in lesser company at Fontwell last Sunday when given a positive ride, though has a penalty to carry. KINGS BAYONET is only a tentative selection but he has run well on the all-weather since scoring at Huntingdon in January and had finished ahead of Red Devil Star at that track previously. After Hours beat a subsequent winner at Haydock in December but disappointed next time.
