In depth

Verdict

Several bring unbeaten records into this contest but the one to emerge unscathed may be MY TENT OR YOURS, who was hugely impressive on his debut at Ludlow just before Christmas. The third has won over hurdles since so the form looks solid and Nicky Henderson's charge, a full brother to useful Flat winner Northside Prince, still holds an entry in the Champion Bumper. Regal Encore may not have beaten much on the Fibresand at Southwell last month while Up To Something probably needs to improve again on win at Wetherby and Hereford if he's to complete his hat-trick. Valdez showed a nice turn of foot at Kempton, however, though is another burdened with a double penalty. Subtle Sovereign should improve on his fourth at Wincanton and may be best of the rest as Turn Over Sivola looked one-paced when favourite at Doncaster.
