In depth

Verdict

BUCK MAGIC was a very promising novice last season and made a highly satisfactory comeback from injury when third at Wincanton two weeks ago. Barry Geraghty's booking here is a positive sign and this unexposed sort should be able to win a decent contest off his current mark. Hat-trick-seeker Tarvini will love the ground but has been rested since winning easily at Doncaster in November and is 10lb higher today, while Godsmejudge was well beaten off today's mark on his handicap debut at Warwick. The mare Cinderella Rose also looks to be facing a stiff task at the weights but Theatrical Star doesn't look badly treated on the pick of his novice form and there is plenty of stamina in his pedigree.
