In depth

Verdict

Michael Halford doesn't normally run three-year-olds in all-aged handicaps at this stage of the season so the presence of Dundalk winner Hunaina is interesting despite being out of the handicap. TITHONUS (NAP) was in excellent form throughout last summer winning four times and narrowly beaten in a tough Doncaster handicap. Not surprisingly he's shot up the weights but ran a nice race at Cork a week ago and can return to winning ways. Several of these have been in good form at Dundalk over the winter and Rapid Applause put his fitness to good use when scoring at Naas though an 11lb rise makes this a much more difficult task. Ishebayorgrey has managed to win eight of his 36 starts though another furlong wouldn't have gone amiss and he was behind Split The Atom at the end of last month. The latter is another who knows where the winning line is though he's never won on Turf unlike Shepherd's Purse, who has been going well without winning at Dundalk and his two victories have come on good going.
