Verdict

KERKENI started odds-on for his reappearance at Cork but found Nonchalant too strong. The remainder were well beaten and the winner could be better than average so John Oxx' charge is taken to go one better. Dermot Weld trained that winner and Backdrop showed progressive form in her first campaign and could provide the main threat. No Wunder found 1m3f stretching his stamina on his reappearance and was travelling well at this trip so he could pose a danger along with Henson, who didn't appear suited to Polytrack after a promising debut at Bellewstown.
