A New Dawn was beaten under a length over 7f at Leopardstown after a promising debut at the Curragh. Joseph O’Brien also runs Unforgetable, who is a half-sister to two winners, but In The Present sets the standard. She ran a Group 3 here last month after a third in Listed company at the Curragh. However, there are couple of Ballydoyle newcomers that could be very useful. Holy Roman Empress is a half-sister to five winners and out of a Group 1 winner but DARKEST may be the one to be on. She’s a full sister to two winners, including the Group 2 and Group 3 winner Sovereign Debt, and this trip may prove her optimum. Pronouncement was a €115,000 yearling so is worth monitoring for future reference.
