Three-year-olds have a very good record in this and can continue the sequence with KATLA, a winner at this level at York last season and right back to her best when just caught by the very progressive Rose Bonheur at Fairyhouse. Invincible Ash has done very well for Mick Halford winning no less than eight times including a Group 3 at the Curragh last month. She was earlier over three lengths behind today's rival Radharcnafarraige at Leopardstown but was returning from a fine spell in Dubai and can turn the tables on Jim Bolger's charge. There was plenty of controversy over the handling of Alanza on her reappearance at Leopardstown when she stayed on under tender handling to finish third. No doubt that will have done her good and she rates a major threat while Empowering, who beat Wild Wind in a Group 3 over 7f at Leopardstown in March, will find this less exacting than the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket and the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh.
