Verdict

Jim Bolger has yet to find the Optimum trip for RING PRESENCE, whose close second over 1m1f at Tipperary in April was his best run to date. He looks well treated on that form and can get off the mark. The Eyes Have It was a 50/1 chance when runner-up in a Fairyhouse maiden and won't need to improve much to carry a big weight to victory here. Approbare has yet to win but Pat Smullen is a positive booking while Avalanche ran very well at Limerick though alarm bells are ringing as he hasn't won in 15 starts. Art Scene is 13lb higher than his victory at Cork in June.
