Verdict

Tony Martin produced MR EVEREST in top form to win this last year from just 3lb lower and can work the oracle again. The six-year-old was beaten 11l behind Stratum in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket but found the 2m2f too far and this is his trip. The winner was 15l behind the selection a year ago and his trainer has another seven engaged. Colin Keane usually rides the stable's horses on the Flat so his presence on Buildmeupbuttercup could be significant though his mount was beaten a long way at Newmarket. Royal Illusion, another from the yard, has won half of his ten races including a lucrative Curragh handicap by 8l last time though a 13lb rise gives him much more to do. Halimi should be suited by stepping up in trip after staying on over 1m4f at Leopardstown and is another with a chance in a wide-open handicap.
