The veteran Desert Ben has raced over 5f and a mile on his last two starts and was staying on strongly over the minimum at Dundalk last time. He should be thereabouts but doesn't win very often and though Erins Gal appears to have a good opportunity to lose her maiden tag as Bill Farrell's filly should appreciate the faster ground here after being caught in the closing stages in soft conditions at the Curragh last time, she is held by BANGALORE DIAMOND on earlier running. The latter finished just in front of her when a close third behind Ucanchoose over this C&D when having only his fifth start and is progressing enough to take this. Pat Smullen has been in fantastic form at Galway and his mount here, Daisy Mountain, ran her best race to date over this C&D in June.
