        Verdict

        This looks like a decent maiden but we’ll give one more chance to CABALLERO, who has improved with every run, has form over the course and distance and was only beaten a nose in a nursery at Catterick 12 days ago when he didn’t appear suited by a drop back to 6f. Derby entry Buriram made a promising start at Newmarket and is one of only two Ralph Beckett runners to have made the trip north. Starfighter and Thierry have shown ability in both starts to date but this would require a further step forward. The €42,000 purchase Beechwood Jude may be the pick of the newcomers.
