In depth

Verdict

It may be worth chancing Ellway Heights in this company and he is selected ahead of Golden Chance and Peter's Imp. That said, French Mannequin has no queries surrounding her stamina for the trip and she can also play a leading role if he is in the mood. Peter's Imp has plenty of experience to draw from and is on good terms with himself at present. However, he is not getting any younger and his going days are becoming harder to predict. Golden Chance gets on well with this evening's jockey and rates as the main threat to the selection. Still, it is a little worrying that there are heavy showers predicted and he will be up against if should the grounds turn soft. Therefore, we prefer to go with Ellway Heights, who goes well here, is well treated on the pick of his form and is versatile enough to give his running at this level, whatever the underfoot conditions.
