In depth

Verdict

Bessemer won well last time and can follow up today at the expense of Bailieborough and Senor Bond. Ian Semple's four-year-old was well treated in that claimer having previously taken on better company. On official ratings today he again looks well in and should be capable of making it back to back victories. Bailieborough makes a quick return to the track having finished well behind stable-mate True Night on Friday. He has strong claims on the pick of this season's form and rates the main threat to the selection. Senor Bond would be a stone better off with his main rivals if this were a handicap so looks up against it, however he should do best of the others. On paper it does appear to be a two horse war and Bessemer is expected to take the honours.
