Verdict

Bailieborough has won similar contests here and at Ayr recently and has to be respected but the David Nicholls-trained gelding may meet his match today in the shape of Takes Tutu, who gets the vote ahead of Yenaled. The last mentioned is well enough treated at the weights to take a hand and comes here on the back of a solid effort when finding just Greskeld too good in a handicap at Hamilton. Kevin Ryan's gelding gets on well for today's rider but he may have to settle for a minor role again behind Takes Tutu. Formerly with Mark Johnston but now in the care of Karl Burke, the American bred gelding has shown signs of returning to winning ways of late most recently when a close third in a Brighton handicap over a mile. Today's slightly longer trip should hold no fears for the five-year-old, who can gain an overdue success. Sarraaf is proving expensive to follow and faces no easy task at the weights. None of the others make any appeal in a poor contest that is taken to go to Takes Tutu.
