Verdict

INDIAN TRAIL can defy his advancing years by landing the feature from The Nifty Fox and Ingleby Star. Le Toreador is tried in headgear following a couple of disappointing performances but is back down to the mark from which he was last successful whilst the handicapper has gradually been opening the door for Jargelle who appears to be finding her feet for her new connections. Lesley's Choice also pleased for new connections on his first run since January and has claims if building on that whilst Ingleby Star has to enter calculations having gone close over course and distance last time from a 2lb lower mark. He lost out to a Tim Easterby trained runner that day and The Nifty Fox has leading claims of denying him again but his current mark has proved beyond him on a number of occasions so preference is for Indian Trail who is just 1lb higher than when landing his most recent success at Epsom last year. Adrian Nicholls has never won on the popular veteran but this race promises to be run to suit and it may pay to follow Indian Trail.
