Jenny Potts ran a nice race on debut but we'll give another chance to Spellchecker. Castletown Boy and Hazeldene are both considered whilst the market should shed some light on expectations for the pair of Irish challengers and likely looking newcomer Merrydown from the powerful Richards yard. Jenny Potts was noted making late headway on debut at Kelso on heavy ground and should be able to take closer order on this better surface now that she's got that experience under her belt. Spellchecker was sent off favourite on debut but spoiled his chance by racing too keenly and, ultimately, was no match for ready winner Poseidon who lines up earlier on the card. He should see out the race better today if he settles and we'll take that chance and side with Spellchecker.
