Verdict

LATIN CONNECTION landed a tough Down Royal handicap comfortably before falling when tackling fences at Downpatrick. The fact that AP McCoy has been booked is an obvious bonus and another success looks on the cards. Parson's Punch has been raised 10lb for scoring over 2m4f here a month ago where he was left clear when his main rival unseated her rival on the run-in. He would have won anyway but it wasn't the greatest of races and a 10lb rise looks harsh. Rock Relief ran his best race for some time at Market Rasen and should go well and though Castletown Bridge has been a bit disappointing he's still a novice and should be fighting fit after his two recent runs following a break. The four-year-old Ubaltique has more scope than any of these but faces a stiff task at the weights as does Skint, who has run poorly on his two latest starts.
