        Hamidans Girl finally got off the mark at Beverley last time, beating THE NIGHT BEFORE by a length-and-a-half despite meeting trouble in-running. But the runner-up is now 6lb better off and this sharper track should suit Bob Cowell’s gelding, who is also less exposed. Brendan wasn’t beaten far here 10 days ago while Thorntoun Lady made late headway following a lay-off at Redcar last month, though that was over 6f.
