In depth

Verdict

TRAFALGAR ROCK has been beaten into second on four different surfaces within the past month but has continued to climb the weights. However, the lack of credible opposition suggests he has every chance off going one better. Devon Drum did well to finish runner-up in a handicap at Chelmsford but could have done without a 3lb rise and refused to race previously. Slipper Satin had been in excellent form on the Flat and over hurdles prior to a poor run at Catterick while Irish raider Blue Cannon is likely to find this on the short side. Jim Goldie's wonderful servant Dhaular Dhar has already won three times this year and can never be dismissed in this kind of company.
