Ali Rashid Al Rahaine has made an astonishing start to the new Dubai racing season and had four winners at the opening fixture. He's strongly represented here and MADAWI, formerly with Clive Brittain, is comfortably the pick on official ratings and gets the vote though he's never raced on an artificial surface. Garbah, just beaten at Windsor in July, made a very promising start at the opening fixture and though she tired close home over that 6f trip she may just have needed the run and receives the fillies' allowance from her stablemate. Biz Zee, another from the same yard who ran on well in the closing stages of that latter race, will be suited by the extra furlong and must be on the short-list. Covert Desire, runner-up in a Newcastle maiden for Godolphin from just three starts, looks a likely type for racing here and is one to keep an eye on.
