In depth

Verdict

This year's generation of classic colts doesn't look up to much judging by the trial for this when Lord Of The Stars, granted a soft lead, held off the fast finishing pair Introvert and Krypton Factor with AHLAAIN in fourth. The longer trip will be against the winner but will suit those who followed him home and Ahlaain, who was having his first start since September, is taken to reverse the form and grab this Listed prize. The fact that Crying Lightening has been well beaten on both starts here should be discounted as she's been racing against the classic fillies who appear much stronger than the colts this year. The Scandanavian-based Manchester is an unknown quantity but has some fair form in Germany to his credit while Godolphin's Janood wears a visor for the first time after a reasonable return to action here last month.
