In depth

Verdict

Celestial Spheres completed a double at Abu Dhabi a year ago and, though he hasn't shown much in two starts this campaign, Fernando Jara takes over from an apprentice. Vasilakos has only raced on artificial surfaces, scoring on Dirt at Al Ain and runner-up over 1m2f here. But he should have no problems transferring to Turf and should go well. Carpe Momentum has only raced on Dirt, scoring at Jebel Ali last month, while Waathig also won there a couple of weeks ago but produced a fine run on his only Turf start. Bosphorus, beaten a neck by Al Nayyir over the course and distance in December, never got into contention behind that winner over 1m2f last month and this is his trip. DECIDUOUS won twice for Godolphin in the UK early last year and made a very promising start for new connections over a trip too short last week. He looks ready to go in again though Sea Stone, another UK winner, also made a very encouraging debut here last month.
