In depth

Verdict

Satish Seemar completed a double at Jebel Ali on Friday and champion UAE jockey Tadhg O'Shea went one better at Al Ain the same evening. The pair have already teamed up three times this season with CARBON DATING, completing a double at Abu Dhabi before an even better run last week when mugged right on the line by Golden Wood. This is the longest trip he has attempted but should stay and has a major fitness advantage over Red Galileo, who has run over the trip though didn't convince and has been absent since a Group 3 at Ascot in October 2015. Curbyourenthusiasm won the Mallard Handicap over the trip at Doncaster before just failing to match strides with Clever Cookie in the Yorkshire Cup. That's the best form on view and he should be ready for this after a couple of runs in November. Rembrandt Van Rijn completed a four-timer in the UK in the summer of 2015 and will be better for last month's run here though he's another tackling the trip for the first time. Brass Ring, a very close fourth in the 2014 Cesarewitch, hasn't run since the following March.
