Muhtaram has a rare outing on Turf and his three course victories have come on artificial surfaces. Doug Watson has three entries and Tried And True is likely to be amongst the fancied runners though he's another who has had little experience of the Turf track. His rider Pat Dobbs was on board Resonant, a triple winner for Mark Johnston, when he disappointed here last time. PHILOSOPHER has been running in decent handicaps and his last two runs suggest a victory is imminent. He was staying on strongly over the track and trip last time and this looks within his capabilities. Jaaref couldn't quite get to Baroot over a mile a month ago but the longer trip will help.
