In depth

Verdict

Queen Monaco had a couple of minor runs in France in the summer, finishing a length third in the second of them. She looks much better than Luxor Temple, who finished tailed off in the opening race here a week ago. Doug Watson completed a four-timer here a week ago and MARTIAL ART, who is by the Grade 1 Dirt winner Jimmy Creed, can continue his trainer’s run. Lahmoom is by Exchange Rate, who gets plenty of winners on Dirt, while Connor Beasley rode a double last week and his mount, Superior, is by Majesticperfection, who counts dual Grade 1 winner Lovely Maria amongst his numerous winning offspring.
