        Verdict

        Bendoog led for a long way in a Group 2 here a month ago but had no answer when the progressive Algiers swept past. He'd earlier finished over two lengths behind SALUTE THE SOLDIER (NAP) and the latter, who won this in 2021 and finished fifth a year ago, can regain the prize. He had excuses when running poorly in Algiers' race and looks the one to beat. Kafoo was fourth a year ago and has been racing over shorter though Law Of Peace, four-times a winner last winter, has Tadhg O'Shea, who rode five winners at Abu Dhabi on Thursday, on board. Sifting Sands, three-times a winner in the USA, is probably better then we've seen to date here.
