Crowded House hasn't won since landing the 2008 Racing Post Trophy but still arrives here as the second-highest rated after several decent efforts in top grade in the USA. He also ran very well here a year ago and his opening run a month ago will have been a sighter. MENDIP is the top-ranked entry which is hardly surprising given his excellent form here and his defeat of Imbongi and a strong field over the C&D on his return from a 10 month absence in January proved he has trained on to become a very smart performer. Famous Warrior had a length to spare over Sangaree in a handicap a couple of weeks ago though that form doesn't look strong enough for this but Cat Junior and Snaafy have both done really well here in the past and it would be no shock to see either put moderate recent efforts behind them and get involved while Our Giant's latest disappointing run came on turf.
