Yulong Warrior didn't do much wrong for Michael Halford and made a reasonable start over 7f here for new connections so should get into contention. Roy Orbison was always fighting a losing battle over 7f last week and never looked like catching the winner but the extra furlong should see him in a better light. Rua Augusta ran poorly in that event and looks held but stable companion Hucklebuck was running in a much better race when well beaten on the same day having looked a certain future winner on his previous start. Pertinacious made such a promising debut on Dirt at Jebel Ali in December that he started a short-priced favourite on Turf here a fortnight ago but hardly picked his feet up. That wasn't his form and much better is expected. MEQDAAM stayed on strongly on his opening run over 5f and again over 7f here two weeks ago. He won't need much more to get off the mark so is handed the vote.
