In depth

Verdict

Waterberg looks the obvious form pick but has disappointed on a seasonal reappearance in the past so TEAMtalk preference goes to Tyndarius who does go well fresh and in terms of ability is not too far behind the likely favourite. He is suited by this trip, acts on the ground and has won on this course. Madam's Man is an interesting contestant on her chase debut. She showed progressive form over hurdles last term and hails from a stable who does well at this track. Native Man slowly came to hand last year and if his trainer has helped him progress further over the summer he has a decent chance especially if the ground softens even further. Dunston Bill showed last season he could be a chaser to follow and put up a fair performance on his seasonal reappearance 12 days ago. This looks an easier race and it would be no surprise to see him go close with a good conditional jockey booked.
