Verdict

Torrid has yet to finish out of the frame over hurdles though progress may have stalled. Reverend Jacobs was a decent middle-distance performer on the level at one time but appears to have completely lost his way. South Seas was a smart two-year-old for Andrew Balding but managed just one run on the Flat for Philip Kirby and has never raced beyond a mile while fellow newcomer Fort Denison has been off the track for more than 12 months. Dundrum Wood has only raced on good ground so far but fellow bumper winner PRESENT CHIEF ran well on this surface at Worcester in July and, being a brother to a winning hurdler, should enjoy going jumping.
