Barton Flower is preferred to Raichu in a uncompetitive finale. Barton Flower does have it to do at the official weights with Raichu but she appears on paper to be the more progressive of the two and there was no disgrace in finishing second to Yes Sir last time out. Raichu was granted a soft lead on her first start over hurdles and made all comprehensively. Her rivals might be a bit more aware of those tactics on Saturday night and she is in the position of giving plenty of weight away. Blackcomb Mountain is still a maiden after 12 starts over hurdles and should not be good enough on official figures. Celtic Romance is hard to fancy after a string of modest efforts. Black Rainbow has shown an aptitude for soft going some years previously and is substantially dropped in trip after a fair effort over three miles at Uttoxeter. Not too many who can be given realistic chances and we shall stick with Barton Flower.
