In depth

Verdict

HIGH SKIES is marginally preferred to Itzacliche and Farmer Frank in a race where a market check is advised. The selection hails from a yard that enjoys plenty of success under Rules and this son of Kahyasi could be an interesting recruit to the yard having arrived from Ireland following a win at Downpatrick in October. He made his debut at Fakenham in March where he ran a fine race although he was probably held when coming to grief at the last. Itzacliche has to rate highly given that he won this race last year and he has been in good form between the flags as he bids for a repeat whilst Farmer Frank deserves credit for his performance at Cheltenham earlier in the month despite returning a beaten favourite as the trip may not have been ideal and he had to carry a penalty. Caramia ran on well to win a point at Brocklesby which may have boosted his confidence whilst Pouilly comes here on the back of a very convincing success at Higham and both could feature but we'll take High Skies to shine.
