    Verdict

Everaard showed more last time and has each-way claims off the same mark but J'ADHERE could be a blot on the handicap and gets the call to prove it by winning this. Tim Vaughan's charge won head-in-chest at Towcester and whilst his main market rival failed to perform to his best, there's no getting away from the impressive manner of his victory. On strict reading of the form 98 seems a more than reasonable rating and with the prospect of more to come he's going to take some beating, particularly as he's already shown versatility with regards the ground. Everaard looks a solid bet to reach the frame after an improved effort last time. That was in first-time cheek-pieces and if he responds to them again there's every chance he'll go well following that second at Wetherby, although he was ultimately well held by the winner and may once again find that the case. Balnagore beat a now 101-rated rival last time so has to be considered off just 96. His trainer Lucinda Russell suggested the best was yet to come from him after that victory at Kelso and as he's out of a Linamix mare any rain wouldn't hinder his chance. Montiyra enjoys cut and has placed off higher marks recently so he's another with place claims although the seller he ran in last time was poor and he might've done better, so a bigger threat at a price might be Choctaw Nation, who was third to Balnagore last time and can't be ruled out on these terms, although as we said the former should have scope to improve further. J'Adhere has the most convincing profile and gets the vote to win under Richard Johnson.
