Verdict

Tim Vaughan's Lord Gunnerslake returns to hurdles having shown little over fences of late but is hard to back with any confidence and a better bet looks to be DOBRAVANY, who can give weight away all round with the main danger rated as More Like It. Peter Niven's gelding is another that reverts to hurdlers after a spell chasing but he has been running consistently well over the larger obstacles and has to be respected back over timber in a race that should not take much winning. Solway Blue ran much better at Carlisle on testing ground last month and has claims on a surface that should not inconvenience him, while Muzuzah has yet to show any of his flat ability over hurdles and looks best watched. The vote then goes the way of Kevin Morgan's Dobravany, who has been running consistently well on the flat and over hurdles of late and he can open his account over hurdles today.
