Verdict

A more competitive race than the numbers would suggest and tactics are likely to play a big part as this unfolds. Eden Dancer has made the running in the past and is capable of playing a strong hand on the pick of his form. He has gone well here in the past and could spring a surprise if Vinnie Keane can keep him out on the straight and narrow. Shuttleworth has ability and took to fences well when arriving from Ireland at the start of last season. He will be interesting if supported, but there have to be reservations after such a long lay off. El Cordobes has decent course form to his name and is dangerous to rule out despite his tendency to make mistakes. However, Forest Dante is getting the hang of things over fences now and is taken as the TEAMtalk selection on the grounds that the trip and ground should be ideal for him.
