Verdict

It is hard to eliminate too many of this field with confidence. Pemberley makes appeal on the best of his form but doubts persist regarding his stamina over this trip and he is somewhat reluctantly passed over. A similar feeling applies to Fresh New Dawn but there are no such issues with BLUE HUSSAR who scored over course and distance the last day and was doing all his best work in the closing stages. He has been raised 6lb as a consequence but that seems an acceptable reaction from the handicapper. Viva Vittoria seems best watched for now whereas Commit Or Quit remains unexposed and may well improve on efforts to date off a very fair mark.
