Verdict

Bryden Boy has been well beaten when stepped up to this sort of trip in the past but winning point-to-pointer BUGSIE MALONE looked a real staying type when not beaten far over this distance at Doncaster. With that under his belt, he should be good enough for this. Royal Milan made a fair debut under Rules on Town Moor and though that was over 2m3f his pedigree suggests this trip should hold no terrors. Irish point-to-point winner Oneida Tribe will undoubtedly come on for his debut for Venetia Williams at Kempton and Some Kinda Lama, runner-up on his only start between the flags, ran well for a long way on his debut for Charlie Mann at Doncaster in November.
