Verdict

The James Evans-trained Heezagrey gained a well deserved success when landing a similar event at Uttoxeter last week but a 7lb penalty for that victory makes following up no easy task and preference is for Paul Webber's AUTUMN RED, who is only 3lb higher than when a close second at Worcester a fortnight ago. Havenstone could be of interest returned to chasing by Evan Williams but is 6lb higher than on his most recent start over the larger obstacles last month. Liam Corcoran's Macs Lad has the burden of a 7lb penalty to carry for his recent Plumpton win and may have to settle for minor honours.
