In depth

Verdict

THE BIG DIPPER should be hard to beat in this, despite top weight. The champion-elect takes the reins and David Dennis' gelding has been waiting for this better ground. He is only 4lb higher than when winning over 3m at Southwell in the autumn. Coeur Tantre makes his handicap debut having finished third at Taunton on his latest start. Mazovian has been placed at Doncaster and Catterick since the turn of the year but isn’t getting any nearer. Definitly Grey and Golden Bird look the pick of the remainder.
