AMOUR DE NUIT, successful five times on the Flat for Sir Mark Prescott, ran in the Prix du Cadran in the autumn so probably found 2m too short when beaten on his hurdling debut at Taunton. This is a more suitable test and Paul Nicholls’ charge is preferred to Boagrius, though the latter has won a point-to-point and a bumper and also looks a nice prospect. Minella Rebellion was long odds-on at Doncaster in November and only finished third. He may need more time and Blue Comet might need the experience having only run in bumpers so far. Shanroe In Milan was second at Sedgefield in October but disappointed on a return visit last month.
